The kilns can also be designed as top-loading, front-loading or as car kilns with a removable floor and door making it convenient to load and unload. Durability is also important to Olympic, with heavy angle iron, metal tubing, and heavier steel; these kilns are built to last. Kiln walls are 4 1/2” insulating brick with 1” ceramic fiberboard and 1” air space created by the tube frame. The result of all this attention to detail? You get an energy efficient electric commercial kiln with a cooler skin and outside temperature. Top-loading electric kiln walls and floors are constructed of brick and board insulation, and modern pyro-brick modules comprise the easy opening counter-sprung lid. The RTC-1000 controller is strictly for glass firings. The RTC-1000 controller is a 12 key switch controller with PID control. It has 1 to 3 thermocouples or zones and can have either K, or S thermocouples. The RTC-1000 also stores up to 6 programs, meaning the last firings remain in its memory to be used again. The RTC-1000 controller comes with multiple features to help you get the most out of your firings including error codes, alarm, delay start, multi zone control, 8 segments per program and skip step and add time (you can add time in 5 minute increments). The RTC-1000 has 3 speeds that include slow, medium and fast.
